It’s interesting how certain diagnoses like narcissism or the “personality disorders” can automatically give a person the label of abuser….
….while others leave them alone.
You would think that we ought to leave alone someone who is suffering, like a person who is depressed, right?
And we should. We shouldn’t torment them or put labels on them.
Yet, there are victims.
And those victims have no recourse. They must suffer with no one validating their experience.
That isn’t right either.
Is there a way to explain and shed some light on the experience of children of depressed or anxious parents without pointing fingers and making the depressed and anxious parents feel worse?
